How it's calculated
C1 × V1 = C2 × V2
Stock volume (V1) = C2 × V2 ÷ C1
Diluent = V2 − V1
C1 is the stock concentration, C2 the concentration you want and V2 the final volume. Stock and target must be in the same kind of unit (mass or molar); 1 µg/mL equals 1 ng/µL.
